APPLICATIONS DATED 11.02.2022 ON BEHALF OF APPLICANT SH. NAVEEN JINDAL FOR MODIFICATION OF ORDER DATED 07.02.2022 WHEREBY THE APPLICANT WAS GRANTED PERMISSION TO TRAVEL TO OMAN, UAE, NIGERIA AND GUINEA FROM 10.02.2022 TO 17.01.2022.

These applications have been moved today by the applicant Sh. Naveen Jindal (through his Ld. Counsels Sh. Rajeev Goyal and Sh. Gurpreet Singh Parwanda) on the official email ID of this Court. Soft copies thereof have also been supplied to CBI as well as ED. Ld. Counsel for applicant Sh. Naveen Jindal is also directed to file hard copies of the same.

It is mentioned in the applications that vide order dated 07.02.2022, the applicant/accused Sh. Naveen Jindal was granted permission to travel to Oman, UAE, Nigeria and Guinea from 10.02.2022 to 17.02.2022. However, due to some unavoidable circumstances, the meetings to be held in Nigeria and Guinea have been rescheduled to a later date and in view of the changed itinerary, the applicant Sh. Naveen Jindal is now required to travel to Oman from 10.02.2022 to 14.02.2022 instead of 10.02.2022 to 12.02.2022 and to UAE on 14.02.2022 instead of 12.02.2022. The invitation in this regard is annexed along with these applications as Annexure-A1. The details of his (applicant Naveen Jindal) stay during the above said period is also mentioned in the said applications.

On behalf of CBI and ED, it is submitted that the applications be disposed of taking into account the present facts and circumstances of the cases.

In view of the submissions made, this Court deems it appropriate to modify its earlier Order dated 07.02.2022. The applicant/accused Sh. Naveen Jindal is permitted to travel to Oman from 10.02.2022 to 14.02.2022 and to UAE on 14.02.2022, subject to the conditions for permission as contained in order dated 07.02.2022.

Accordingly, applications under consideration stand disposed of.

List on the dates already fixed in these three cases.
